Oktoberfest is coming...

Can you believe it?  Less than 50 days to the start of Oktoberfest!

Our annual Oktoberfest counter is back up in the right hand margin, so you can make your plans.

And, though Oktoberfest starts on September 19th, our big Oktoberfest bash is on October 3rd.  Lederhosen, dirndls, special guests, and of course, great Oktoberfest beer.

Hot, Hot, HOT!

Lots of cranky, hot, sleep-deprived people suffering through this heat wave... And some of them aren't even members of our staff! :)

Possible solutions:

• Air conditioning (Shultzy's is air-conditioned!)
• Hoegaarden 0.5L only 3.99 today (it's Witbier Wednesday)
• Heatwave cocktail for 3.99 today (Malibu rum, Pineapple & Cranberry Juices)
• Sparkling cranberry lemonade with lots of ice
  
• Watching Mariners (or Cubs) baseball on TV indoors (we have 6 flat-screen TVs)
• Something light and cool to eat (chicken caesar salad)
• Something super spicy to make you sweat (Moroccan Fire Burger)

Summer Trivia Contest

We're still putting the finishing touches on, but I wanted to give you triviaheads some advanced notice.

We're going to have a summer trivia contest running July and August where the team that amasses the most points (or victories, I told you we hadn't figured everything out yet) gets a cool neon from our collection.

The contest starts tonight and runs through the end of August, so if you like neons and trivia, check it out!

July 4th Schedule

Like last year, we'll be closed July 4th weekend for BBQing, family gatherings, and the usual deep cleaning/maintenance that we sneak in every chance we get.  We'll be CLOSED Saturday, July 4th and Sunday July 5th, reopening for breakfast on Monday, July 6th at 8:30am.

But, not wanting to miss out on a chance for a party, we're celebrating...

OK, seriously, please don't go trying to break any hot dog eating records at Shultzy's.  First of all, we have a lot of hot dogs, but not enough for record attempts.  Secondly, it looks very unpleasant and will probably ruin your weekend and the day for those who have to watch you endure the ordeal.  That being said, a double hot dog basket for 8.99 and a cold Hoegaarden sounds like a pretty good way to kick off the weekend.
