2014 is Shultzy's 25th Anniversary on the Ave, and we've brought back an old favorite for your amusement: Shultzy's Sausage of the Month.
WAY back in 1989, when Shultzy's had no beer (impossible) and no fries (inconceivable), Shultzy's did make its own sausages, on premises, to satisfy the hunger of our faithful customers. To keep things interesting, Shultzy's introduced a Sausage of the Month, and some of our current favorites (the Ragin' Cajun, for example) started out at monthly specials.
SO, to bring back some of that unpredictable fun, we're bringing back Sausage of the Month in 2014, and first up, for January, is El Cubano.
The El Cubano is a relatively recent favorite. Pork, spices, and water (no preservatives, fillers, or additives) become a Cuban sausage patty, and in the spirit of a "Cuban" sandwich, we top it with sliced ham, swiss cheese, mustard, and pickles.
The Sausage of the Month is SUPER limited -- we only make one small batch each month, and when it's gone, it's gone. So, we'll try to keep you updated on the blog, Twitter, and Facebook when a new selection becomes available.
